Another mental-health or substance condition present alongside gambling disorder. Co-occurrence is the norm rather than the exception, which is why screening for gambling inside general mental-health services catches people no gambling-specific service ever sees.

Preferred phrasing

"co-occurring conditions," not "dual diagnosis" (dated) and never "comorbid" in consumer writing.
