Definition
A DFS format where you choose whether individual players will go over or under a statistical line. Functionally close to a parlay of player props, and the subject of ongoing regulatory disputes about whether it is fantasy sports or sports betting.

Supports: Describes pick’em as selecting multiple athletes and predicting above or below operator-set statistical thresholds, commonly against the operator, and concludes that the reviewed format is materially indistinguishable from a parlay of proposition bets under California law.
Remaining evidence gap: California’s conclusion does not establish national legal status. Any statement about ongoing regulatory disputes needs jurisdiction and date specificity, and classification varies by state.
